Julia Karin Ormond (born on January 4, 1965 in Epsom, Surrey, England) is a British actress who, like her fellow thespian Britons, Helena Bonham Carter and Emma Thompson, has taken her acting talents from the London stage to the Hollywood big screen. In 1995 she was named one of the World's 50 Most Beautiful People by People magazine.
